Swainton - It is way past time for Upper Township to have its own police force instead of depending on state police at state-taxpayer expense. The township is and has become a haven for criminals and drug runners as a result of limited to no or little police activity. I recognize the longtime politicians get a lot of publicity for not giving in to a local police force, but clearly, they are not looking out for the safety of Upper Township citizens. Time for Sen. Van Drew and his assemblymen partners to act and save others in their district from paying Upper's police protection.
