Swainton - The county's Open Space Preservation Program was meant to preserve open space. It should get back to doing that by preserving the Stone Harbor Golf Club, which is threatened by a proposed development. New homes do not belong on a golf course. It would ruin the scenery, place increased demand on our water supply, and result in higher property taxes. Preserving the Stone Harbor Golf Club and preventing 202 new homes from ruining it is exactly what the county's Open Space program is supposed to do. Our last open spaces are too valuable to let them be lost to development!

Moderator's Note:
Is the spouter suggesting Open Space buy the development rights of golf-course land?
