While searching the Web I saw an article on the old Long Branch fishing pier in Long Branch NJ. This pier like many others got destroyed in storms BUT given the less than intelligent laws passed by Trenton the rebuilding of piers is next to impossible in New Jersey.Just another example of how NJ could care less about fishermen..They refuse to allow new piers,they refuse to improve launching ramps ,and the State does little to nothing to improve inshore waterways. Every State south of NJ has excellent fishing piers and great boat ramps BUT not New Jersey which has the highest taxes in country
