The OC spouter couldn't be more wrong about tourism. Tourism just allows people to barely survive here, not prosper. It would be better if the county had a much smaller population with stable, year-round employment independent of tourism, like farming and commercial fishing. There are professions that can survive without tourism! Less people living here would be better. Tourism just keeps most people who live here poor. Tourism is a curse.
