$6 million approved from the "Open Spaces" fund and not a single acre of land was preserved. The Open Spaces Fund should preserve open space and not be used for anything else! The Open Space funds should accumulate to allow the County to buy and preserve bigger and/or more expensive pieces of land or many smaller pieces of land rather than waste it on things that have nothing to do with open space preservation.
