Strathmere - The Army Corps is set to pump more sand onto Ocean City and Strathemere beaches, and Wildwood thanks them, as 60% of the sand will end up on Wildwood beaches, and the remaining 40% will end up inside our inlets, choking our waterways. Politicians are happy, beachfront homeowners who don't belong there are happy, but fishermen and others who enjoy our waterways are not. Forty years of pumping sand onto these beaches have done little but waste taxpayers' money and destroy local fishing, while also choking our inlets and inshore waterways.
