I am new to Cape May County and love the Strathmere area . I have a question .Why does Upper Township control Strathmere? I can find no other completely separated coastal land being managed and controlled by an inshore municipality . What am I missing ? It seems to me Strathmere would be much better off if managed by a coastal town or set up as an individual stand alone town. But I imagine Upper gets a huge amount of tax dollars from Strathmere BUT taxes would be lower if it was tied to Sea Isle or Ocean City. Upper Twp may be worse run township in the State and taxes prove that
