Stone Harbor - Whoever was the chairmen of this year's Stone Harbor Yacht Club Marlin Tournament, let me give them some history. Early 60's members of the Stone Harbor Fishing Club, Henry and Norman Blum, John Van Buren, Olin Woolson and Harry Martin approached members John Hovey, Jr. (Commodore 1960) Julian Slevin, Whitney Sanders, Karl Dorries and Dr. Filsinger to form the very first Marlin Tournament. These five members should be mentioned at every tournament in a memorial, awards or trophies at every tournament dinner. If it was not for these five members, the Yacht Club would not have a Marlin Tournament.
