Stone Harbor - Was the Stone Harbor bridge broken by a bridge operator? I was sitting on Stone Harbor Boulevard waiting for the bridge to go down about one week before it was discovered to be broken. Now, remember it had just been inspected and everything was fine. It was a windy day. The operator was having a very difficult time getting the bridge to go into its proper place. The bridge was repeatedly lowered and banged into place trying to secure this bridge in the proper closed position at least 15 times. I was ready to turn around and go through Avalon. Finally, the bridge was secured.
