The town goes to great lengths to have the streets cleaned daily

Stone Harbor - The town goes to great lengths to have the streets cleaned daily with a street sweeper but the sidewalks are littered with trash, primarily cigarette butts. This is what our visitors see when they walk through town. Not a good impression. I used to see a town maintenance person sweeping the sidewalks daily but not for the past few years. "Penny wise and pound foolish" comes to mind. The chamber should encourage their retail members to clean the sidewalks in front of their businesses, but the town needs to be responsible for sidewalks elsewhere, like at the ends of the crosswalks.
