Stone Harbor - They were able to shave off $500,000 to reduce the price of the lifeguard station to only $3.5 million. As usual, the council undertook another needless project without any input from the citizens. This is another example of reckless spending by council. Stop trying to spend every dollar taken in by property tax revenue. Use the new police station as an example of mismanagement and poor design. Go by any day and observe all the police vehicles parked on 95th Street in marked safety zones. No assigned parking off street. We need fiscal responsibility.
