Stone Harbor - Stone Harbor budget for 2021: Never happy hearing of a tax increase in the town budget. But the the increase per $100 valuation equals approximately $250. per million valuation. Small price to pay for a more efficient fire response and well paid lifeguards. The reserves were used to keep the cap on a bigger increase. Real job now is to get council under control and cut back on unnecessary spending for pet projects or purchases. With all new building we should allocate 50% of increase in tax revenue to a reserve for Beach replenishment back bay dredging. Not a new life guard station!
