One of the rec. staff was spray painting the starting line as the kids were lining up. How about investing in a better sound system? It was very difficult to hear the announcer. The decorated bike parade was too long. A simple trip around the parking lot would have sufficed. There was a running category for "pops." Does that mean "dads?" There was already an age category that covered most dads. How about having a race for grand moms and grand pops? That would be fun!
