Stone Harbor - It's sad when a town's fire chief can offer no compelling reason for the continued use of the stationary fire sirens other than "that's just the way we do things here." These sirens are wholly unnecessary and in his reply to a previous spout on the subject, he attempted to distract from this fact by muddling his argument with suppositions that were inaccurate. Nobody is complaining about the sirens on the actual trucks - those are fine and necessary. But, as most towns have proven with actual evidence, the stationary sirens are not.
