I don't understand why Stone Harbor needs a new police station f

Stone Harbor - I don't understand why Stone Harbor needs a new police station for $4+ million. This isn't a high crime area and the old station is fine. In fact, one of the news items about this waste of taxpayer dollars even made mention of what a fantastic job the police do here. If their facilities were in such desperate need of an upgrade, wouldn't they be struggling to perform their tasks? How long will this project take? Ten plus years, like the new library? I can go through towns and show you all the ones that excel with a police station older than one from the '70s. Unnecessary and wasteful!
