Stone Harbor - The government says they’ll fix price gouging, why aren’t they focused on the convenience fees being charged to use a credit card? I placed an online order for pickup from a local restaurant and was charged a 5% online internet fee as well as a 3% fee for paying with a credit card. When I went to pick it up I felt obligated to tip at the counter. I get that Covid hurt restaurant business but can’t they go after the credit card companies and make them reduce the fees to the merchants? Just like with college loan forgiveness, go after the Universities that took the money, not the tax payer!
