Stone Harbor - A few spouter's have complained about Avalon and Stone Harbor lifeguards. While what these spouter's have voiced are valid complaints, the protection model and strategies used in these towns is different from some other communities. In other resorts around the country there are lots of different life-guarding styles. Many towns only have protected beaches in high density areas. The people of Avalon and SH are used to the way their beaches are protected and will likely never change. Yes, there are better models, but this one is working for most people.
