Stone Harbor - Apparently a spouter who thinks employees who get out of work past closing time shouldn't be paid has never worked a retail job. When you close a store at 10 p.m. you can't just walk out the door. There is money to be counted, store recovery to be done, trash taken out, etc. All of these things take time and are part of your job. It is New Jersey law that you get fully compensated for all time worked. If your employer is not paying you for time worked, contact New Jersey Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division.
