Trump is not a Republican. Nor is he a Democrat. Yes, he claims to be a Republican, but he has repudiated the Republican principles I grew up with – balanced budgets, free trade, fiscal responsibility, civil rights, fair dealing, honesty. He was a Democrat when he toyed with running for president the first time, and was for abortion at any stage, among other very "liberal" positions. He was also a member of businessman and 1992 presidential candidate Ross Perot’s "Reform Party" for a while. Trump is, if anything, a confirmed member of the Opportunist party. It's time for Trump to go.
