This is a tourism area, and I do not understand why litter is tolerated. One of the top criteria tourists use to decide whether to return to an area is how clean and litter-free they found the area. A large cause of our roadside litter is trash and construction vehicles overflowing, with trash blowing out of them. There is a law on the books requiring police departments and the county sheriff to issue a $1,000 fine for failure to tarp and cover trash and dumpster trucks. Let us all do our part to clean up Cape May County.
