Stone Harbor Tax Payers do you realize our paid Firefighters are responding over 10 miles away to sit and cover another fire department that is handling another call. The reason they are here is for our investments in this island. I find it to be a little absurd for them to leave our island just to sit at another dept. And leave us unprotected. This needs to be investigated. If you look at the map there are 5 other fire depts. On the mainland that can assist not our career guys that we're paying a salary to cover us. Maybe just use the volunteers and make the paid guys stay on the island.
