Spouter, where have you been? You say you were surprised to learn how little power the mayor has. You didn't finish your research. Mayor Walters has the pulpit. She is the tie breaker on all votes, she can lead council with borough objectives and goals for each year, she's the interface with county and state government and she sets the stage for commissions to do their duty and to represent the taxpayers on financial matters. She could also show leadership with major projects and plans. Guess what? She doesn't do any of this! She is a no show.
