To the spouter from Stone Harbor: We still have rock walls and jetties in Stone Harbor. We also have a bulkhead that runs the length of the island. They are all covered with the sand that the replenishment brings. If you had been around in the early 90’s after storms stripped the beaches you would have seen them. The beach sand replenishment is a necessary part of maintaining the beaches. Don’t blame the second home owners, thank them for investing in our town and bringing property tax revenue. Without them your property tax would be triple to keep pace with county and town spending.
