The skunk problem in both Avalon and Stone Harbor is a combination of people leaving food all over the place for the cats and irresponsible residents who leave trash outside. Educate yourself on how to protect your property by not putting out trash until the day of pick-up and leave wildlife alone. The borough should not be trapping all these skunks. I see animal control placing traps on my block for skunks and it is absolutely wrong.
