I am pro-life in that I discourage abortion and also favor prenatal and well-baby care, early childhood nutrition programs, subsidized day care, early childhood education, and more. I am “anti-gun” and oppose the death penalty for the same reason: because I am pro-life. There is a difference between being "pro-life" and being merely pro-birth.
