Nice to see the SHPOA getting more active in town operation. In the past they were well intentioned but ignored by the powers in charge of town. But I disagree with their stand on new fire truck. With the influx of new bigger homes we need the best equipment available. How many members of SHPOA are using 25 year old phones? One life or home saved is worth the price of the truck. Concentrate on the money spent on pet projects like a new duplicate of lifeguard station. Back bay dredging and flooding of streets are important and should have first priority.
