It looks like residents of Stone Harbor have just been bilked out of another $14,000 to pay for a study on the "feasibility" and projected costs of underground electric transmission lines. Face facts folks, the big poles are here to stay; they have had them in several northern resort towns for years. Underground transmission lines are a huge expense above what we pay now. Every time there is a fault or failure, a major excavation is needed to isolate and repair the problem. Unless of course all the people worried about the aesthetics are willing to pay the tab for everybody else.
