If the taxpayers are not in favor of replacing the 97th Street Playground then WHY????? did Borough Council authorize DeBlasio and Associates (Municpal Engineer) to apply for Open Space Funding - costing tax payers money for the planning of this project? Not to mention the time and effort put into by the recreation director? This project is costing taxpayers already-wake up people! Dont wait until a cost is determined and then say you are against it - Engineer costs have already been expended.
