I would hope that Cape May had done an in depth study on viability of all electric vehicles. Beside the cost of installing charging stations there is the extra use a police vehicle would use with the added electronics in these types of vehicles. I always thought that a hybrid model should have been introduced many years ago. Not a plug in but strictly hybrid. As for pick up trucks go, there are published studies that Ford Lightning with a payload gets about 1/2 the advertised distance.
