I was moved by listening to a long time Stone Harbor local share his experiences at borough hall in Stone Harbor from his youth till now. My own experiences this past summer involved several visits/attempts to simply pay a bill. There was no one home. Ended up mailing it. So different than not too many years ago where by just popping in spurred greetings and conversations even if it was just about the weather. These experiences raise the question. Why? what happened? Why do people move to this town cause they love it, but then make it their mission to change it? For whom? For what? for $$$?
