I attended Stone Harbor's holiday dash Thanksgiving weekend. The kids really gave it their all and raced from the Women's Civic Center to the bridge and back. The winner, with his bright orange shirt, probably about 9 years old, came in first, with a close second to a kid dressed as a green M&M. I was very upset when three trophies were given to outfits, including most festive, most creative and one more, but nothing was given to the winner of the race! This child ran his little heart out, and walked away with nothing! Seeing his disappointed face made it not a very festive event.
