The fire department is running a 100K deficit and the answer is to raise fees for fire inspections and rental licenses. The town has 3149 residential tax paying properties which by each being special assessed $32.00 would wipe that deficit of 100k. Where did our mysterious revenue experts come up with their figures. We don’t need ways to increase revenue ,we need a freeze on all spending and a professional top rated accounting firm to examine the total revenue collected and spent.
