We came down to open our house Easter weekend and saw a lot of people walking around the shopping district Saturday, April 4. Sadly, it doesn't look like the town was ready for visitors. The sidewalks were stained and full of chewing gum. The benches were full of bird droppings. There was trash all over the place. Many of the storefronts need cleaning or painting. A lot of 'For Rent' signs in store windows. Easter used to be the spring kick-off at the shore and we were always excited to be there. Not so much this year. Public works needs to get out there and do their job.
