South Dennis - Gov. Christie has signed into law special law enforcement officers who are specially trained and armed retired police officers under the age of 65 who can be hired to provide security in NJ public schools. While Woodbine State Police Station has a security plan for Dennis Township schools, they are not on site daily, and these new security officers should be hired immediately to protect the students and staff at our two elementary schools. This is all part-and-parcel of upgraded public safety in NJ communities, and DT needs to join the modern world.
