The writer cited as proof of systemic racism that at her husband's place of employment the boss threw out an application of a qualified African-American based on his race. This is totally disgusting and turns my stomach. I have another example. I went on an interview, (I am a white male) and was told that although qualified, I would not get job because they were going to hire a woman or an ethnic minority. This fits the definition of systemic racism. I was excluded based on my race/gender. Neither example is what Dr. King wanted.
