Some of we parents have just learned that Crest Memorial school let go of our resource officers (whom were paid with a grant) and have taken on a five year contract to pay a police officer to be outside of the school. So now there is no one within the school regularly, and if a call comes through, the police officer must leave to respond. I guess we're wondering why? Seems like yet another fiscally irresponsible use of taxpayers dime, as well as leaving our children vulnerable.
