So, on Tues the Council will vote on a new ambulance. This is how Stone Harbor works. Every 8-10 years the Fire Chief rotates out a fire truck or ambulance at a huge cost to the Borough. He'll plead public safety, yet he'll sell the older one to another town for $5,000. What could be wrong with it? It only has 10k miles on it, and it's upgraded constantly at significant cost. But it's good enough for everybody else. This pattern has been going on for 30 years. It's total nonsense. Taxpayers, SHPOA and Council, put a stop to this madness. Oh, why not buy another street cleaner while we're at it.
