So now council is planning to apply for a waiver to the state mandated budget cap of 3.5%. That, along with the planned property reassessment just show that this council has no interest in reducing spending. Their only solutions is to increase spending and raise our taxes. Taxes increased by 7.4% last year and it looks like we are in for another big increase in 2026. Vote these people out in June.
