Several responses to your April Fools stories showing the readers believed the stories were true are evidence of what I've been saying for years. The actions of two Trump administrations have killed satire because now nothing is too crazy to be an actual political position. In his second term the Trump Team has made a concerted effort to kill farce as a legitimate comedy form by the Felini-esque way in which cabinet meetings are run and the incredible mishandling of the various department's business. The only thing remaining to destroy is slap-stick. I can only begin to imagine.
