Several months ago, a car drove through the railing and into the bay at Nicoletta Park and Fishing Pier. Based on my personal observation, there was minor damage to the railing at the base of the pier. Is it fixed yet? Noooooooo. Instead, Middle Township built an elaborate barricade on Shell Bay Ave to keep people away from the park and pier. The pier is now closed for crabbing, fishing and bird watching. I have a crazy question for Middle Twp. Instead of spending money on the barricade, why didn't you just use the money to fix the pier? Is it me? Am I missing something?
