The last few years of the Obama/Biden administration were one of the most productive periods of criminal justice reform in American history. The Obama/Biden administration changed sentencing guidelines that harmed black defendants and brought together police and their communities. Then along came Trump and all reforms were reversed. Now here we are in a period of racial unrest never before seen.
