Why would anybody want to be a cop?

Sea Isle City - Why would anybody want to be a cop? No matter how good the money is, it is a no win job. They don't arrest enough people or they arrest too many people. They are supposed to be able to shoot like the Lone Ranger according to Joe Biden. People want them to have degrees, why would any smart kid with a degree want to inflict that kind of abuse on himself when there are good, safe jobs.
