While visiting SIC Sept.

Sea Isle City - While visiting SIC Sept. 10-11, I attended the Patriot Day celebration to remember the victims of the Sept. 11 tragedy and their families. I was appalled with Mayor Desiderio's suggestion that "we sing so loud that a certain quarterback in San Francisco hears us and gets hit during the game." I was reminded of the famous quote by Rev. Nathan Baxter, dean of the National Cathedral, who once said that "as we act, let us not become the evil that we deplore." Mayor Desiderio would do well by embracing these words, especially when giving speeches in public settings.
