What is going on with the flood signs in our town?

Sea Isle City - What is going on with the flood signs in our town? I was traveling northbound from 50th Street Dec. 14 when I noticed every flood sign was activated after all roads were clear of any water. I also read that these lights are activated by a ball float system similar to the ones in our toilet tanks. This technology is decades old. There should be an investigation to see how and why this bag of outdated technology was dumped on the city. Take them down and get our money back as they are useless.
