Sea Isle City - We have over 50 officers in our police force who do their job keeping us safe by administering traffic tickets, conducting crowd control outside the bars, checking for underage drinking, and writing citations when vacationers drink on the beach in the summer, and no one complains about the cost of these salaries. How do we not have money in the budget to hire some full-time firefighters? Our volunteers who live offshore can only do so much. Why not consider using some of the money from the police force towards fire protection? Let's not rule this off the table. Fire safety is important.
