Sea Isle City - Warning: Consumption of fish and shellfish from the bay could be hazardous to your health. The north end of Sea Isle City has never had sewer service. All homes from 20th Street north use septic systems to treat their sewage. With rising sea levels and heavy rains, the septic fields are not drying out. Bottom dwellers like crabs and clams are especially susceptible. These issues have been brought up to the state Department of Environmental Protection and local officials have done nothing to solve the problem. Bring sewer service to the north end of Sea Isle.
