Sea Isle City - Using the site of the public school for affordable housing instead of a recreation center is a horrendous idea. Suggesting that affordable housing units will keep taxes lower for residents does not take into consideration the negative impact that affordable housing units will have on neighboring property values. Using affordable housing as a means to generate revenue for a town is not intelligent governance. A spouter who wants to squeeze 60 affordable housing units into an already overdeveloped island has clearly failed to appreciate the fact that there are consequences to projects.
