Sea Isle City - Someone spouted that the harshest critics of the poor were once poor themselves. I bet that is aimed at me, because I was poor, at times, I was dirt poor. Growing up, I never knew we were poor, because my family worked their butts off, used coupons, green stamps and drove cheap, used cars and even rode buses. I am tired of bums using their poverty as an excuse for laziness or dirtiness. Soap is cheap and good manners are free. No cigarettes, or beer or fast food; that all cost too much money for us. We never stopped working, and we had dignity and pride.
