Sea Isle City - Sea Isle City leaders, once again, demonstrated their less-than-intelligent approach to flooding. Rather than fix the problem with reverse flood devices and bulkheads along the bay, they give us warning lights. Back bays are flooding more as a result of beach replenishment sand getting pushed into inside waterways, which pushes more water into our marshes, which, in turn, will flood low-lying roads, but local politicians would rather spend our tax dollars on band aids and not permanent fixes. Sea Isle City is in serious need of effective leadership, but it won't happen until all taxpayers can vote.
