Sea Isle City - Notice that all those wanting to tear down the church are relatively new transplants to Sea Isle. They do not have a strong connection to the region. Sadly, they are the ones in power and close with diocesan and government officials. It's a shame that the narrative around the historic church's fate is in their hands. I wonder if the people on the Catholic Strong committee have ever traveled outside their bubbles to see other historic churches. It would give them a greater sense of appreciation for what we have. Sadly, I think they're caught up in the consumerism ideology that new is better.
